Sutton LINk authorised volunteers have, for 2 years, been undertaking a programme of bi monthly monitoring visits to wards at St Helier to observe and assess the nature and quality of services with a view to making changes and improvements, where necessary.
Groups of trained and authorised volunteers carry out announced visits to monitor the standards of service provision from the user /carer perspective. Volunteer reports, which include observations, feedback, assessment and recommendations, are coordinated into a LINk report which will record findings, identify good practice and highlight areas for improvement or change.
Reports are submitted to the Epsom and St Helier Trust for their information and response. Reports and responses are feedback to the LINK member’s at the Health and Wellbeing Working Group for member’s information and input into deciding on any further action.
